Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Aide to join our team. As a Resident Aide, you will provide essential care and support to residents in a residential care facility. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need.
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide direct support and companionship to residents
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs of residents
- Assist with meal preparation, serving and feeding
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
-Assist with housekeeping
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including using proper lifting techniques
- Follow care plans and communicate any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff members
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families
Skills:
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support is preferred
- Knowledge of systems related to resident care in a residential facility
- Familiarity with memory care techniques and strategies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift and move residents with proper technique
- Basic understanding of vital signs monitoring
- Knowledge of nursing home regulations and procedures is a plus
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
