Associate Manager, Digital Marketplace – New York, NY (Hybrid)

Position Details 

Marquee Brands, a leader in managing a diverse portfolio of global consumer brands, is seeking an Associate Digital Marketplace Manager for our New York headquarters. This role is central to driving growth and enhancing our presence on Amazon and other digital marketplaces. Ideal for a proactive and analytical individual, the position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners to optimize sales and brand consistency. Ideal candidates are self-motivated communicators with experience in managing Amazon FBA and Vendor Central businesses, and a proven ability to navigate cross-functional partnerships effectively. Join our dynamic team in Midtown Manhattan, where you'll contribute to the success of our diverse portfolio of global brands, ensuring they thrive in digital spaces and beyond.

Responsibilities: 

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive digital marketplace strategy to increase product demand, drive sales, acquire customers, and enhance the brand's online presence.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, ensuring alignment on key eCommerce initiatives, promotions, demand planning, and brand marketing.
  3. Partner with the marketing team and agency on paid performance campaigns, communicate new launches, and manage the marketing and advertising budget effectively.
  4. Analyze selling data, marketplace trends, and best practices to optimize marketplace performance and marketing strategies.
  5. Influence partners product assortment in collaboration with Brand Directors, manage inventory projections, and communicate best/slow sellers to drive business forward.
  6. Own the strategy and execution of deals, tentpole events, and communicate directly with the Amazon Agency on all aspects of the business including promotional strategy, product whitespace, and growth opportunities.
  7. Utilize SEO and SEM techniques to increase website traffic and lead content development to attract visitors and promote sales.
  8. Develop and maintain effective relationships with our external partners to review sales, performance, new launches, and upcoming events.
  9. Audit existing product detail pages for consistent customer experience, identify issues affecting conversion, and support our partners' digital success through training and influencing their decisions on current and new marketplaces.
  10. Own Amazon Agency Relationship: communicate directly with agency on all aspects of business; Ex. Promotional strategy, product whitespace, growth opportunities, inventory position, etc.
  11. Communicate new launches, business objectives, sales trend, and goals for the year.
  12. Own the creation, updating, and analyzing of weekly sales reporting.
  13. Post-Deal analysis and reporting (Prime Day, Prime Exclusive, T5 and all deals)
  14. Develop a multi-year strategic vision for marketplaces, with actionable plans that support overall objectives and deliver annual financial goals. Knowledge of other e-commerce platforms and marketplaces.
  15. Own and update our Marketplaces Brands Brand stores and Brand registry.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in selling on Amazon Marketplace, Vendor, and Seller Central, with an understanding of best practices and strategies.
  • Knowledge in promotional planning, assortment planning, E-commerce operations, and E-commerce marketing, gained through experience.
  • Experience in Amazon Advertising, KPIs, Advertising strategy, and managing an advertising agency.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Brand stores, Amazon Brand Registry, and Amazon Posts.
  • Highly organized with analytical and project management skills, able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, Google Sheets, with an ability to utilize SEO and SEM techniques effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work in a team-based environment and foster positive relationships with cross-functional partners.
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and resourceful, with an exceptional attention to detail and a creative and critical thinking ability.
