Marle Tangible is seeking to hire an Additive Manufacturing Technician to operate and maintain its growing fleet of laser powder bed fusion 3D printers, producing additive orthopedic implants for the medical device industry. This position is a high-visibility role and is at the forefront of Tangible’s culture of excellence, innovation, and precision.
Marle Tangible is based in Fairborn, Ohio. We are a Contract Manufacturer of 3D Printed Titanium Orthopedic Devices. Job Summary and Primary Responsibilities:
-Produce Additively Manufactured (3D Printed) parts utilizing Powder Bed Fusion Technology (DMLM - Direct Metal Laser Melting).
  • Load feedstock into the machine utilizing appropriate PPE and following safety protocols.
  • Set up and start equipment following detailed instructions on proper means and methods.
  • Operate powder removal equipment, Sieve, and support equipment to process production parts.
  • Utilizes work instructions, drawings, and other product-specific documentation to complete required tasks.
  • Load/unload build plates and parts from the equipment and verify conformance.
  • Maintains organization, cleanliness, and housekeeping within the work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Capabilities:
  • Works with team to build and sustain a safe, collaborative, and friendly working environment
  • Possess excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret drawings or specifications at a basic level
  • Computer skills adequate to manipulate files, verify setups and perform other related tasks
  • Willingness and ability to follow all safety and quality requirements of the position
  • Work independently to perform tasks and maintain schedules
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Requires frequent lifting and moving of materials, supplies, parts, tools, and equipment. Requires high manual dexterity, and operation of hand and power tools. The ability to manually maneuver up to 75 lbs, and lift and carry up to 50 lbs is required.
Education and Experience:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Requires HS diploma or GED; related technical / associates degree or certificate preferred
  • Previous Additive Manufacturing experience preferred [schooling/training / etc]
