The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields. State training and licensing assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
Responsibilities & QualificationsSecurity Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a property. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. Security officers within this position, will be completing tasks within a warehouse setting. These tasks include patrolling within the exterior/interior of the warehouse, verifying the workers have credentials to enter the facility, wanding and having workers go through metal detectors, completion of Daily activity reports and managing a truck gate by verifying credentials. Within this setting, officers will be exposed to wildlife and trespassers. Multitasking and perseverance are needed to excel in this position! This post involves a lot of active duties within these positions.
Available Security Officer Positions:
- Rover : Foot patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc. Completion of de-tech scans is needed within this role.
- Truck Gate: Greet truck drivers and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification and vehicle plates, log visitor vehicles, control gates to allow truck drivers to enter and exit.
- Metal Detectors: Greet and verify visitors/ employees arrival, wand the visitors/employees to catch unexpected items, manage the metal detector system to ensure safety of the facility.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid state licensing, BSIS CA Guard Card is required!
- At least 1 year of security experience is needed!
- Security experience in a Warehouse setting is not required, however is preferred!
- Strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with report writing
- Monitoring and surveillance experience
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
- Previous security experience is not required however is a PLUS!
