Position SummaryMarkey's, a multi-state leading provider of creative audio-visual services, is seeking a Full-Time Décor/Staging Department Head to join our team in Indianapolis. The Décor/Staging Department Head is responsible for managing inventory, repairs, and new construction within the Décor department based at the Indianapolis Headquarters.

This is a full-time, hourly (non-exempt) role. Typical daytime hours, although occasional early mornings, late nights and weekend work may be required.

Position Responsibilities• Oversee Markey's Décor department, managing inventory, repairs, and new construction
• Create processes for checking/inspecting décor
• Manage process for the prep/pull of décor for events, providing guidance and assistance as needed
• Travel to events to help with large-scale/complicated setups
• Research and make recommendations for new décor options for events
• Work with the Director of Rental Inventory Systems to order parts and supplies
• Analyze and compare purchases & cross-rentals to improve purchasing practices
• Work with the Inventory team to inventory and case new gear
• Work with sales team on new designs and concepts for Markey's live events
• Consult with branch offices to help with their designs and show looks
• Assist in designing creative looks for proposals and sales tools, maximizing our inventory of soft goods, LED products and new equipment
• Help Markey's stay on the leading edge of technology

Requirements• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment as well as the ability to work independently
• Must have excellent customer service skills, and maintain a positive and professional appearance and attitude at all times
• Must possess a high level of attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities
• Possess creative set design skills
• Knowledge of Vectorworks and adjacent software (ex. Adobe Suite) products used to develop high end renderings for customer proposals and internal training
• Ability to travel
• CNC machine experience would be helpful
• Good knowledge and understanding of all types of décor
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with internal customers
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
• Excellent computer aptitude with the ability to use the Microsoft Office product suite (Word, Excel, Office)
