- Oversight of monthly close, including account reconciling and related reports.
- Assist with preparing internal financial reports
- Assist with preparing external financial reports including: Financial Statements, IRS 990 Tax filing, DHHS Indirect/Fringe Rate Report.
- Oversight of Grants financial management including: budget reviews for application, monthly rolling forecasting, and compliance with Federal and other sponsor regulations and rules.
- Assist with overseeing Grants' regulatory compliance.
- Assist with ensuring the accuracy of the general ledger entries and financial reporting responsibilities.
- Key role with preparing for and completing the annual audits, including:
- Financial Statements audits, 403(b) Retirement plan audits and workers’ Compensation audits
- Annual budget process.
- Assist with Semi-monthly payroll processing.
- Assist with financial systems upgrades/implementations.
- Mentor, lead, and train department staff
Qualifications:
- BS degree in accounting or related field is required. CPA or Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience is required.
