MARKETSPICE is a small business in Seattle, WA. We are professional, creative, fast-paced and our goal is to to find a Store Manager that will help MarketSpice to grow through the years. MarketSpice has been around for more than 100 years and holds its place as an icon in our industry. This is because as a company, we hold our standards to quality very high, and have a reputation for being one of the very few who make everything in our warehouse by hand. We have our retail store in the beautiful, and famous, Pike Place Market! Our environment is very family-oriented, and we are looking for someone who enjoys being part of a cohesive team.

MarketSpice Inc. is seeking candidates for a Store Manager/Buyer position.
Since 1911, MarketSpice has been providing customers in Seattle and beyond with their signature tea and spice blends, in the heart of the world-famous Pike Place Market. This is an exciting opportunity to operate and manage a historic business in one of Seattle’s top tourist destinations. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service environment while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the business.
Job Responsibilities Include:
· Supervise a team of approximately 10 to 12 employees, including an Assistant Manager
· Conduct interviews and onboard new staff
· Manage inventory and maintain adequate stock levels to ensure customer satisfaction
· Product purchasing, to include seeking out new and relevant products based on customer demand
· Staff scheduling
· Train and discipline employees
· Follow through with company policies
· Handle vendor accounts
· Balance daily sales receipts and manage bank deposits and change orders
· Serve as liaison between the Pike Place Market store and the company’s corporate office located in Redmond, WA
· Delegate responsibilities as necessary and work closely with the Assistant Manager to ensure the daily operations of the store
· General customer service
· Keep store clean
Desired Qualifications:
· Previous supervisory or management experience in a customer service setting
· Prior knowledge of teas, spices, and coffee (not required)
· Ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and written communications
· High attention to detail and organization
· Desire to work in a fast-paced close quarters environment and assist customers from all over the world
· Ability to be on your feet for several hours a day and frequently lift heavy items
Benefits & Pay:
Salary: $28.00 Per Hour plus Tips
