Maintenance Technician - Level 3

$26- $34 / hr Depending on experience

Marketplace Professional Staffing is a 27-year-old, locally owned and operated staffing agency, with an outstanding reputation.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a local company in Piedmont, South Carolina.

Hours :

• 7 : 30am - 4pm
• On call nights and weekends
• Overtime is mandatory when needed

PRIMARY DUTIES :

• Responsible for saving all computer and PLC backups
• Manage spare parts for computer and PLC for all machines
• Responds as needed to waste treatment breakdown and repair calls.
• Responds as needed equipment breakdown and repair calls.
• Manage improvement projects as directed by Plant Engineer.
• Responsible for cleanliness and organization of work area
• Serves as 24 hour responder for after hour breakdowns (via cell phone).
• Provide positive guidance for lower level technicians.

Other :

• Works with Plant Engineer on disciplinary issues.
• Understands how to open and close plant
• Assists in housekeeping / 5S activities plant wide as needed.
• Understands maintenance importance in supporting WT and production activities.
• Understands lock out / tag out system, confined space entry system and other safety related policies.
• Understands Maintenance Escalation Plan.
• Maintains repair and replacement inventory list for computer and PLC.
• Informs Maintenance Team Leader on repair and replacement inventory needs

Quality and Environmental System Responsibilities :

• Awareness of the Management System Policy Posted at production office.
• Awareness of company Quality and Environmental Objectives Posted at each plating line.
• Awareness of the Significant Environmental Aspects related to your work area and activities

Essential Skills & Requirements :

• High School / GED required
• 3-year minimum maintenance experience
• Demonstrated mechanical and electrical (480v) experience
• Hydraulics & pneumatics experience preferred

Knowledge and skills :

• Computer skills, conversion from US to metric
• Maintenance Technician Level 2 skills and PLC, Project Management
• Multiple skills sets including mechanical, electrical, welding, general plant maintenance and inventory control
