American Display & Fixture (ADF) is seeking a Material Handler/Box Truck Driver (Non CDL) for our receiving department.

Duties:

• Uses a powered industrial vehicle (forklift, man-up, pole, etc.) or manual pallet jack to move items from point to point in a safe and efficient manner.
• Assures aisles are clean and clear of clutter and places items in the appropriate location in a neat manner.
• Pick and package goods efficiently and accurately.
• Check information against packing slips and verify that inventory is correct.
• Maintain accurate records of received items.
• Safely and effectively operate forklifts and other warehouse lifting devices including company box trucks.
• Operates a box truck (no CDL required) to pick up and deliver general freight material from our locations.
• Load and unload products from the vehicle using appropriate equipment, such as a dolly.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
• Must pass Medical Examiner’s Report and DOT Drug Screen.

Requirements:

• Box truck driver experience.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Position requires a strong attention to detail as each employee is responsible for the accuracy of their work.
• Position entails frequent lifting of light to heavy loads. The position also entails frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling – including frequently moving on and off the vehicle.
• Computer operation – Operation of inventory control software, ERP/ MRP, printing labels, word processing, spreadsheets, generate reports and ability to effectively communicate via email.
• This full-time position requires the ability to multi-task in fast paced, deadline driven environment, as well as a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Physical:

Lifting: Moving objects from a lower to a higher position (and vice versa) and moving objects horizontally from position-to position.

Push/Pull: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.

Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.

Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.

Vision: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Exerts up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Regularly stands/walks for up to 4 hours in a row.
