Mark Twain Behavioral Health is seeking a full-time CRISIS OUTREACH CLINICIAN for our Kirksville/Hannibal, Missouri service area. This position will be primarily after hours: evenings, nights and weekends. Consider joining our MTBH Team! Role Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evidence-based crisis assessment and evaluation of adult or youth consumers in acute psychiatric distress
  • Provide direct support for clinical crisis response and follow-up
  • Foster good working relations with local law enforcement, Emergency Rooms and various referral sources
  • Assess and manage suicide risk
  • Provide additional after-hour on-call crisis services in accordance with the essential duties and responsibilities of the ACI system
  • Collaborate with Community Behavioral Health Liaison, Access Crisis Intervention Program, Emergency Room Enhancement Program, Intake Department, and other specialized programs
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance crisis intervention skills through various evidence-based practices
  • Complete necessary documentation and maintain medical records in accordance with state requirements

Adherence to the MTBH Ethical Code of Conduct and all policies is required.

 Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in a mental health-related field and at least one-year post-graduate experience OR Bachelor's Degree with at least four years of mental health experience OR Missouri Registered Nurse with at least one year of psychiatric experience
  • Knowledge of or certification in alcohol and drug addictions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience preferred
