Mark Miller is Hiring an Insurance Agency Receptionist Near Salt Lake, UT

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Warmly greet clients and visitors, providing them with a positive first impression.
  • Manage incoming phone calls, directing calls to appropriate team members and taking messages when necessary.
  • Assist clients with basic inquiries, escalating more complex questions to the insurance agents.
  • Maintain a neat and organized reception area, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments for clients to meet with our knowledgeable insurance agents.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently.
  • Update and maintain accurate client records within our database.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure smooth office operations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the agency as required.

Training Expectations:

  • Receive comprehensive on-the-job training during the first 3 to 6 months.
  • Gain an understanding of insurance terminology, procedures, and the agency's offerings.
  • Develop proficiency in using office software and equipment.
  • Learn how to handle confidential client information with discretion.
  • Acquire the skills necessary to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance your knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional office administration education is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a receptionist, customer service representative, or in an administrative role is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in standard office software and equipment.
  • Familiarity with insurance terminology and processes is advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed work ethic.

Schedule:

  • 4 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Salt Lake City, UT 84101: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
