Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Claims Adjuster to join our team. As a Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling insurance claims. This is a crucial role in ensuring fair and accurate claim settlements while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate insurance claims by gathering necessary information from policyholders, witnesses, and medical professionals
- Evaluate the validity of claims by analyzing policy coverage, applicable laws, and documentation
- Determine the extent of liability and negotiate settlements with claimants or their representatives
- Collaborate with legal counsel on complex or disputed claims
- Utilize fraud prevention techniques to identify potential fraudulent claims
- Maintain accurate records of claim files and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and changes in workers compensation law
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Claims Adjuster or similar role
- Strong knowledge of workers compensation law and regulations
- Familiarity with auto estimating software and processes
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively and reach fair settlements
- Customer service-oriented with exceptional communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze complex information accurately
