As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our team and help manage our inventory efficiently.
Job Overview:
As a Warehouse Associate at Marissa’s Books & Gifts you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing books and other merchandise to our retail location and customers. Attention to detail, organization, and a passion for books are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of books and merchandise.
- Accurately record received items.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring proper storage and efficient retrieval.
- Prepare outgoing shipments for delivery to retail locations.
- Assist in inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse space.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse processes and workflow
Experience:
- Prior experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for books and literature is a plus.
