Marion Senior Services is Hiring a Director Community Care Programs Near Ocala, FL

Job Overview:
The Community Care Director is responsible for daily operation of all Community Care Programs including staff supervision, training, service documentation, data collection, management, evaluation and monitoring of all program services and subcontracts, with the exception of nutrition programs. Initiates service improvement plans and assists in the establishment of service delivery goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Recruit, train (initial/in-service) and supervise case management and support staff.

· Collaborate with the outreach and nutrition programs’ services.

· Oversee maintenance of client service and statistical data and preparation of required reports.

· Provide for review of client files for appropriate documentation of services provided, for approval of care plan and level of service and for compliance with all program regulations.

· Verify service delivery billing statements and service activity sheets prior to submission for payment.

· Administer service units in accordance with program resources, regulations and clients' needs, assuring that subcontractors deliver service as scheduled.

· Monitor service quality through subcontract monitoring, client satisfaction surveys and initiate service improvement plans.

· Review and monitor case records to ensure compliance and data integrity with eCIRTS and program requirements.

· Provide for assessment and resolution of client problems/complaints related to service delivery.

· Implement and execute all required pre-service training for all subcontractors prior to start of contract year.

· Serve as staff resource to the board of directors for program services information.

· Report any case of suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation of disabled and frail elderly clients to the Florida Abuse Hotline and perform face-to-face contact as mandated by State of Florida Law.

· This is a front-line position for providing excellent customer service to members of the general public.

· Be visible within the community to explore additional resources and programs available.

· Review and follow-up on all Adult Protective Services (APS) cases to meet the 72-hours mandatory requirement with DCF, (Department of Children and Families)

· Facilitate weekly Case Manager, bi-weekly High Utilizer and monthly Assessor meetings and training.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position supervises a staff of Case Managers, Case Aides, and clerical CCE Staff.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· Bachelor’s degree in a social service-related field.

· Minimum of five (5) years experience working in a social service program.

· Five years supervisory experience.

· Previous experience in program administration.

· Must be able to successfully pass a Level 2 background check in accordance with DOEA guidelines.

· Efficient in multiple computer programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid Florida Class E Driver’s License and Driving Record that meets company’s insurance standards is required. Must have reliable transportation.
  • Department of Elder Affairs Uniform Client Assessment and Care Planning Certification. (This certification must be obtained within 6 months of starting position.)

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret common program guidelines and procedures such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write correspondence.
