The Assistant Athletic Director job is a 190 day contracted position with pay based on the licensed/teacher salary schedule. The Assistant Athletic Director will be counted on to provide administrative support to the athletic director and coaching staff and will act as a liaison between the faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, and the Marion community. While many job responsibilities occur during the day, the Assistant Athletic Director is expected to attend after hours athletic events.
Game boxes/Gate bags for all athletic events Game tickets for all athletic events Create purchasing requisitions for all athletic purchases Officials paperwork given and collected Assist with administrative duty list Assist with game workers/scorers table workers Assist with locker room assignments/keys Assist with game day setup for all athletic events Assists with concession stand needs for athletic events Assists with custodial staff to insure game sights are clean and in order
AAA Requirements Eligibility- all players are entered on the AAA website and eligible Academically, Domicile, Age, Semester, Transfer (CSAP), Homeschool, Virtual Team rosters and schedules on Dragonfly by AAA deadline Online tests completed are met for each sport Dragonfly information is up to date and correct for all Athletes and Coaches Students and parents have completed all AAA and School forms Schedules turned into Mascot Media
Assists AD with getting school insurance quotes and summer catastrophic quotes Supervises training staff- Makes sure trainers are at game and practice assignments Oversees filing of player injury reports Oversees student physicals All athletes physicals are put into AAA recognized filing system (Dragonfly) Creates inventory for Athletic training program Assists AD with athletic training service agreement Assist AD with athletic strength and conditioning calendar
Oversees MSD Foundation Golf Tournament with the foundation board Assists with Mascot Media live streaming program Assists with obtaining and facilitating AAA State Tournaments
Observes practices Observes and evaluates coaches With Head Coach/AD- oversees/assists with budget spending, inventory, supervision, and uniform rotation Assists AD with BSN rewards spending
Orders awards for awards programs Assists AD with senior collegiate signings Assists AD and Head Coaches with planning of parent meeting for each sport Other duties as assigned |
