The Site Coordinator serves as the primary leader for Lighthouse Community Centers (LCC) programs and events at Minnie St. Under direct supervision of the Associate Director of Youth Programming, the site coordinator is responsible for maintaining the vision and strategy of LCC, recruiting and building a team of volunteers to serve in impactful ways within the community and the local church.
The site coordinator is expected to be a team player and show consistency, confidence and teachability within the role. Through events & programs, leadership development, community engagement and team & administration responsibilities the site coordinator will assist in maintaining the vision and strategy of LCC to ensure a balance between the life change of volunteers and service recipients at their assigned LCC.
Events & Programs: Oversee daily operations of the center including facility use, program schedule and special events. Implement and maintain events within the center that meet the needs of the community, Outreach Ministries and Mariners church (Rooted Serves, Group Serves, Homework Help, Community and Parent Engagement, etc).
Leadership Development: Identify, train, and empower volunteers and ministry leaders to run daily, weekly and monthly programs. Direct supervision and care of volunteers serving at their corresponding location.
Community Engagement: Engage relationally with families and individuals from the community. Recruit, train and develop a team of residents who will be empowered and deployed as leaders in the community. Build/Maintain relationships with local organizations, property managers, local school officials, city staff, neighborhood leaders, etc. so as to facilitate partnerships and leverage opportunities for working together.
Team & Administration: Collaborate with Associate Directors, other site coordinators, and operations coordinator to ensure consistency across sites of programs, policies and operations. Fulfill administrative responsibilities like logging program attendance, reviewing metrics, financial updates, etc.
