MSRC is offering an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Technician who is ready for a career with the leader in the oil spill response industry.
We’re seeking a qualified individual to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on small vessel engines and oil spill response equipment.
MSRC works with employees interested in obtaining licenses such as Class A CDL, welding certifications, and electrical and hydraulic repair certifications.

Job Type : Full Time Salary Range : $26.37 to $32.92 per hour Position Qualifications Required : High School Diploma, or GED equivalent.
Successful background check, drug screen and pre-hire medical exam. Valid Driver’s License. Possess or ability to obtain a TWIC card and Passport, US Coast Guard MMC and complete the 40 Hour HAZWOPER training (provided at no cost upon hire).
Due to the emergency response nature of the position, a continuing condition of employment is the ability to report to the assigned work site location within a two-hour recall notice.
During an oil spill, work schedules may be adjusted based on the emergency response. Desired : Familiarity with USCG vessel inspection process desired.
Experience with small diesel and gas engine repair, small vessel maintenance, and experience performing equipment diagnostics.
Knowledge of basic hydraulics and AC / DC electrical power distribution systems desired. Welding and fabrication skills a plus.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position will be performed indoors and outdoors in excessive weather conditions such as heat, humidity or cold.
