This individual should be a self-starter, familiar with small business and be excited by all thing’s lake front living.

Shoreline Steps Carpenter

Pay Scale Range $22.00 – 27.00 per hour.

The shoreline steps carpenter will have skills and knowledge of carpentry, takes pride in their work, and strives to achieve a high level of quality and job site safety. Your job will involve working in changing outdoor weather conditions and the job location will vary.

The shoreline steps carpenter will be someone with experience with framing and carpentry and will conduct staircase installation under the supervision of the sales manager. Safety is very important to us and so experience and knowledge of health and safety standards is an asset.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct staircase installations under the direction of the sales manager

· Conduct routine setup and cleaning of the job site to ensure the site is clean and free of hazards

· Measuring and accurately cutting building materials

· Follow industry safety practices

Skills and Abilities:

· 3 years of experience working on a construction crew is an asset

· Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and tools & equipment is required

· The ability to use a large amount of hand, power operated tools and small engine equipment such as drills and circular saws is required

· Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks on time is an asset

· Ability to work at heights and on ladders is required.

· Ability to work in changing outdoor weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, dust and humidity

· Comply with all company policies and procedures and can understand and carry out written and verbal instructions

· Ability and willingness to dig post holes and footings when necessary. Most will be done with machinery.

· Excellent customer service skills and professionalism is required as our work is customer facing

· Good work ethic and punctual

Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Must have a clean driving record with no traffic violations in the last 3 years and can be DOT certified

· Physically fit and able to lift up to 60 lb.

· Must pass a drug test

· Have a clean background with no felonies on record.
