Marin Ranch Camp is Hiring an Overnight Camp Director at Walker Creek Ranch Near Petaluma, CA

Marin Ranch Camp is just 1 hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge held at the Walker Creek Ranch Conference Center. Our fun and engaging overnight camp program is where kids ages 7 - 17 can hike, swim, boat, explore and play. A place where children can be themselves while participating in traditional, good old-fashioned summer camp activities in an intentional community of caring people.

Commitment dates are July 28 - 29 for training and setup, and July 30 - August 8 for camp.

Compensation: $2,700 including precamp planning, training, move-in/out and the 10 day camp session. Housing and meals included during the camp session.

The Commitments of this Job:

  • Camp days are long and hours can vary
  • Camp Dates: July 30 - August 8
  • You must be able to work all days of camp and training.
  • You must also attend all-staff training and set-up / clean-up of camp:
  • Pre-camp training: Sunday, July 28 in Richmond, CA
  • 1 set-up day on-site training: Monday, July 29 at Walker Creek
  • Pass a background check: A check on the National Sex Offender Registry Website and a criminal background check through Live Scan (DOJ/FBI)
  • Complete voluntary disclosure and health statements
  • Provide minimum of 3 references and verified work experience
  • First Aid and CPR/AED Certified, or ability to obtain certification prior to training

  • Directing all aspects of Marin Ranch Camp
  • Working directly with parents to ensure success
  • Leading and managing a team
  • Coaching staff on educational best practices and working with children
  • Setting the standard for other staff in attitude, expectations and work ethic
  • Singing, dancing, being silly, wearing costumes, playing and having fun
  • Being an ambassador to each and every family while providing the best possible customer service
  • Willing to jump in to doing anything and everything
  • Helping your team succeed – every day

  • Making life-long friends with your fellow teammates
  • Having the best summer of your life

What You’ve Done Before:

  • At least 2 years experience in supervising or managing resident camp programs.
  • At least 2 years experience in planning, designing and delivering programs for youth.
  • College graduate
  • Strong preference for teaching or other professional educator backgrounds
  • Extensive experience working with children
  • Ideally, you attended overnight camp as a kid
  • Experience successfully managing a team of staff

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $1,100.00 per week
