Marimed Inc. is a publicly traded cannabis company that operates cultivation, processing and retail facilities across multiple states, as well as product brand portfolio across B2B and B2C channels, including Nature’s Heritage, Kalm Fusion, and Betty's Eddies. Panacea Wellness is our retail dispensary located in Middleboro, MA.

What We’re Looking For:

The State Marketing Coordinator will create and execute tailor-made sales and marketing plans to engage customers at the store level and within the local community for the stores in their respective territory. The State Marketing Coordinator will promote and educate customers and communities about Marimed’s retail locations. You will build relationships with key community partners and KOLs, collect customer data, and bring our dispensaries to life on a local level. In this role, you will largely be responsible making sure the retail store has a large community footprint by way of attending community events, executing events in the dispensary, and aligning with local businesses to increase loyalty membership and brand awareness. As a State Marketing Coordinator, you will be the face of our retail brand to our valued customers and in-market strategic partners. By educating customers about our dispensaries, you will have the opportunity to get your foot in the door of the cannabis industry and gain a wealth of sales and marketing intelligence by attending industry events, networking with industry leaders, and using your charm and personality to evangelize our retail brand.

What You’ll Do:

  • Together with the retail staff, successfully execute 1-2 events per month. These events may be 1) external pop-ups where customers are educated about the retail brand 2) in-store events/workshops. The goal is for the dispensary to be a community hub.
  • Together with the store managers and regional directors, develop and maintain weekly promotional calendars that include product and services launches to drive store performance.
  • Work closely with our UX/UI Manager to make simple website updates, making sure the features on the homepage are up-to-date and content is relevant and compliant
  • Manage, execute, and analyze messaging campaigns via AlpineIQ. Own all email marketing for your territory and apply strategy around customer communications through various channels.
  • Track Success of promos and report on promotional performance utilizing various KPIs on a monthly basis.
  • Manage content strategy for in-store screens and ensure they are up to date and compliant.
  • Work alongside inventory manager and other store leadership to execute monthly “vendor days” through brand pop ups.
  • Meet and exceed store transaction goals on a monthly basis.
  • Champion the loyalty program in the stores, ensuring we’re signing up every customer who walks through the door. Expectation is that 90% of customers will be converted to loyalty members.
  • Create promo codes in the backend of DutchiePOS and DutchieMenu and AlpineIQ
  • Assist with new store openings and oversee grand opening events with the support of the Dir. Of Retail Marketing.
  • Form strategic B2B relationships/alliances with local businesses, groups, colleges, key opinion leaders (yoga teachers, influencers) to secure increased awareness, loyalty sign-ups, and transactions (must align with 1 businesses/groups per month & sign-up 10 people per business/group)
  • Review digital assets including the website and menu, to make sure all products are correctly represented, and product placement/visibility strategy is optimal
  • Manage Google My Business profile by adding photos, responding to reviews, etc. to support SEO strength
  • Manage all incoming customer inquiries/complaints on a daily basis. This includes incoming social messages/DMs and the store’s e-mail inbox. Work directly with store leadership to resolve customer issues.
  • Support the marketing department's initiatives with the planning, executing, and tracking of marketing programs such as email, events, social media, and content marketing
  • Work closely with/receive guidance from Senior State Marketing Lead on best practices, etc.
  • Assist with developing a delivery marketing strategy.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of tent pole customer appreciation events (4 per year).

Requirements:

  • BS or higher in Marketing or relevant field
  • 4 years of combined marketing experience in both start-up and corporate environments
  • 2 years management experience
  • Retails and CPG experience
  • Candidates with cannabis experience are preferred
  • Content creation skills across graphic design and photography for social media
  • A clear, concise writing style with a dash of creative showmanship; knowledge of industry best practices for sales copy-writing a must
  • Analytical skills for pricing/promotion
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to build healthy working relationships and to diplomatically balance competing opinions, priorities and directions
  • Maturity to take and give criticism and direction
  • Self-starter who will thrive with minimal supervision and will seek and source additional support as needed
  • Actively work with the dispensary managers to gain first-hand knowledge on products and processes.
  • Produce a monthly recap of local activities.

Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • Ambitious, self-motivated with a strong sense of integrity and self-sufficiency.
  • Able to work independently and have strong follow-through.
  • Proven critical thinking skills and flexibility while performing job duties.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel to dispensaries daily.
  • Sales experience is a plus!

Education & Professional Requirements:

  • Equivalent combination of work/education experience accepted
  • 1-2 years’ experience working in the cannabis industry preferred
  • 2-3 years’ experience in customer service and/or retail marketing preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes.
  • This job is dispensary-based. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. Routine travel to dispensaries/manufacturing facility is required. Typically traveling within a 120-mile radius of their home.
  • This job is field based, and will be spent largely in multiple dispensaries, in and around the community, and on the go. Some weekends and evenings will be required based on events and other needs of the business.
