Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality care to our animal patients. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various procedures and treatments
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Prepare examination rooms and surgical suites for procedures
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments
- Administer medications as directed by the veterinarian
- Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis
- Provide assistance with radiographs and other diagnostic imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment
- Provide support to pet owners, answering questions and providing education on pet care
- Assist with grooming, bathing, and general hygiene of animals
- Monitor the well-being of animals before, during, and after procedures

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but training will be provided
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
