We Require
Juris Doctorate
Eight years of experience as a practicing attorney, which includes three years within a governmental organization
Other Requirements
Must have a current Arizona Bar license and number and be in good standing with the Arizona Bar Association
Valid Arizona Driver’s License upon hire

Job Contributions
Manage a civil practice unit to provide practical, efficient, economical, and excellent legal advice and litigation support to County clients
Respond to complex legal issues
Provide professional and legal guidance to team members as needed
Perform a broad range of supervisory responsibilities and direct practice group members
Effectively interact and collaborate with other Practice Group Leaders within the Division
Assist in implementing changes in processes and procedures
Respond to procedural and policy questions from team members and support staff
Review and keep informed of proposed state and federal legislation affecting the organization
Participate in specialized legal and administrative assignments
Take initiative in the creation of innovative new practices and procedures to improve quality and quantity of legal services and internal operations
Working Conditions
Office and courtroom setting in high-volume, fast-paced environment with frequent stressful situations
May require long periods of sitting while completing paperwork, standing, and moving about during the course of performing duties
Ability to travel to and from various county locations for court appearances, meetings and trainings, utilizing personal or county-owned vehicle
Ability to move up to 20 pounds
