This defined retirement benefit requires a 12.29% monthly contribution rate and includes a 100% employer match on Day 1 Learn more at Work With Us | Maricopa County, AZ We Require Two years of administrative experience in a Real Estate environment, including office management support to an executive officer or department director Associate degree in real estate, business administration, or a closely related field An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis We Value Bachelor’s Degree in real estate, business administration, or a closely related field Three or more years of administrative experience, including office management support to an executive officer or department director Experience with governmental real estate functions Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, VISIO, SharePoint, and OnBase Job Contributions Represent the Director internally as a liaison between the Director and department partners to ensure that work (valuation analysis and lease abstracts) keeps moving forward in the Director’s absence Conserve the Director’s time by reading, researching, routing correspondence, drafting letters and documents, collecting and analyzing information Complete various projects (e.g. Board of Supervisor linked agendas, leadership agendas, and various departmental and divisional tasks) and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time and the cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem-solving, and making necessary adjustments to plan Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential Prepare reports by collecting and analyzing data/information. Compose written correspondence that is technical in nature with a high degree of clerical aptitude Work closely with and assist the Management Analyst Control department’s office inventory, which may require attaining a “Ghost or P Card” and managing it in compliance with the Maricopa County Procurement Code Coordinate meeting logistics, attend and/or participate in meetings, take minutes, and capture/distribute follow-up items Use independent judgment and discretion in performing the duties with little or no guidance, and other duties as assigned Working Conditions Typically an office or administrative work environment that is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions Ability to exert up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time Must possess or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire, a valid Arizona driver’s license Selection Procedure Only the most qualified candidates will be considered Consideration will only be given to candidates who submit online applications Candidates will be contacted primarily through email and their Workday online application profile Must pass a pre-employment background and/or fingerprint investigation as required by statute or policy, including drug and alcohol testing requirements for positions designated as safety-sensitive Maricopa County is an equal opportunity employer.
