Key Responsibilities (Top 6)
- Responsible for onboarding, negotiating, and contracting of transportation services.
- Directly oversee the development & maintenance of a TMS that will encompass Mariani’s Global Supply Chain.
- Ensure connectivity of Transportation Sop’s / Training / and work practices are consistent amongst all Mariani facilities.
- Responsible for Transportation Budget Management / Variance & Trend Explanations / Freight Invoice Approvals & GL Coding.
- Proactively manage and address OS&D claims / Accessorial Avoidance / and Customer Invoice Deductions due to transportation matters.
- Directly problem solve complex Transportation / Customer delivery situations promptly & professionally.
Position Requirements:
- 5 Years of Transportation Management experience.
- Working knowledge of OTR / LTL / RAIL / DREY / OCEAN / AIR / PARCEL shipping.
- Previous experience in CPG/Food Distribution Service Level (OTIF) Programs is highly preferred.
- Individual must be Driven by KPI’s / Continuous Improvement / and Vendor Development to improvise freight costs as well as enhance overall delivery performance.
- Intermediate Level Microsoft Excel / Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal departments, service providers, and external customers.
- Must be highly organized and be able to navigate effectively within a dynamic & fast paced work environment.
