The nursing program seeks Adjunct Clinical Instructors to start Fall 2024. The Clinical Instructor will play a vital role in guiding and supervising nursing students during their clinical rotations, providing valuable hands-on experience and facilitating their transition from classroom theory to real-world practice. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of nursing professionals and contribute to the advancement of healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction, guidance, and supervision to nursing students during clinical rotations in various healthcare settings.
- Plan, organize, and facilitate clinical experiences that align with the curriculum objectives and learning
- Demonstrate and promote safe and evidence-based nursing practices to ensure quality patient
- Collaborate with nursing faculty, clinical coordinators, and healthcare professionals to coordinate clinical placements and evaluate student performance.
- Assess students’ clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, professional behaviors, and clinical assignments through observation, feedback, and evaluation.
- Foster a supportive and interactive learning environment that encourages student engagement, collaboration, and clinical competence.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for nursing students, promoting professional development, ethical conduct, and lifelong learning.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, clinical hours, skills assessments, evaluations, and other relevant documentation.
- Stay current with advancements in nursing education, clinical practice guidelines, and regulatory
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited
- Active and unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in the state of
- Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience in a relevant healthcare
- Prior teaching or precepting experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational
- Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in nursing education and
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and clinical
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, clinical sites, and student
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR)
- Willingness to adhere to Marian University’s mission and core values, as well as institutional policies, procedures, and professional standards.
