Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Implement behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors and ensure the safety of individuals
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Monitor and record vital signs as required
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs
- Create a safe and supportive environment for individuals
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and families to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in direct support or related field preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with medication administration
- Ability to work effectively in various settings such as nursing homes, residential facilities, or home care environments
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals and their families
- Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to upholding them
- First aid certification is desirable
