Baldwin Community Center (MLBCC) is seeking applicants for the position of Living Well Network Coordinator.

The Living Well Network fosters a strong, engaged, and healthy community of Cambridge residents 55 and over so that residents continue to thrive as they age. We promote:

Position Summary

Reporting to the Co-Executive Director, the Living Well Network Coordinator administers Living Well Network (LWN) programs on a part time basis. The Coordinator should become familiar with elder services available in Cambridge and create congenial relationships with all LWN participants.

Position Responsibilities

(50%) Program Management of existing and new activities, lectures, and events to advocate for local residents 55

  • Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers and support staff
  • Develop ongoing groups to support aging in place
  • Collaborate with MLBCC team on cross-program activities and events
  • Manage the neighborhood snow-removal program

(30%) Writing, Research, and Communications. Provide resources and referral information to members and others in need of assistance

  • Produce weekly e-newsletter
  • Learn about resources for older adults in Cambridge and beyond
  • Communicate with members and community members about their needs and participation in LWN activities

(10%) Outreach to build awareness and broaden the presence of LWN in Cambridge

  • Identify and provide opportunities for membership engagement (such as events, relevant services, and volunteer opportunities) both online and in person
  • Provide information on volunteer opportunities for our members and develop volunteer opportunities based on LWN members’ needs
  • Represent LWN at the Cambridge Council on Aging and liaise with other city efforts focused on people aged 55

(10%) Development/Fundraising

  • Write and produce timely, personalized membership receipt letters
  • Produce regular reports on member engagement for Director of Development and Director of Communications
  • Collaborate with Director of Development and Director of Communications and Outreach on annual membership campaign
  • Collaborate with Director of Development as needed on grant applications and reports

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-directed, independent, self-motivated
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Organized, communicative, amiable, and patient
  • Strong writing skills
  • Experience in Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Google suite, Constant Contact or similar email marketing platform or ability to learn and adapt to new technology
  • Knowledge of Cambridge community and city services

Qualifications

BA degree or significant work and/or volunteer service in a related field

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
