Margaritaville Holdings is Hiring a Director of National and Leisure Sales Near Orlando, FL
What You'll Do:
Proactively solicit group sales for all geographic/vertical markets producing the group business and travel agency leads for Margaritaville lodging partners
Manage travel, trade show participation, co-op sales missions, co-op FAMs with Margaritaville lodging partners, site visits and other outreach activities ensuring a strategic and robust set of sales initiatives and activities to accomplish success
Develop and maintain professional relationships based on mutual trust and confidence with customers and stakeholders
Have an excellent understanding of destination and related hotel/resort product strengths and weaknesses to speak as an expert with customers and stakeholders
Identify accounts with potential to bring business to Margaritaville, plan and maintain regular communications with and actively solicit business from them
Source uncovered qualified leads through the Margaritaville referral program to participating locations and follow up on the leads to ensure prompt response
Develop an enterprise business transient account program
Manage, grow and optimize relationships with identified third party rep firm(s) and sourcing agencies
Execute and manage internal processes necessary to reserve and confirm the negotiated contract services, including blocking of guest rooms, meeting space, and catering requirements
Promote high visibility of Margaritaville through active involvement in industry associations and trade shows
Manages administrative tasks such as expense reports, success factors, and weekly activity reports as assigned by leadership in a timely manner
For pre-opening hotels and resorts, support the property, management and ownership teams with sales planning strategies and tactics
Nurture partnership with Margaritaville restaurant group sales team for cross-marketing and referral opportunities
Develop standards and practices related to brand programs to support the group and travel agent/leisure markets
What You'll Bring:
Minimum of 10 years hotel or brand group and leisure sales experience or equivalent
Experience selling and servicing group events
Expertise in the travel agency space with a proven track record of success.
Experience selling to and creating relationships with the meeting planner, SMERF planner, travel agent, motorcoach and wholesaler markets
Knowledge of the operations of the hotel industry
Dynamic, enthusiastic, creative leader who thrives under pressure and is able to perform multiple functions and troubleshoot when needed
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to be hands-on with software and platforms
Command of the English language both written and verbal, with the ability to demonstrate warmth and empathy when engaging with others
Must have proven selling, negotiating and presentation skills, requires knowledge of advanced sales techniques
Highly developed customer service skills with strong attention to detail
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook
The position is based in Orlando, FL. A remote role will be considered for an ideal candidate.
