Position OverviewWe are seeking an upcoming graduate or recent graduate to join the Marcus Thomas Media team for the summer. As the Media Planning Intern, a majority of your time will be spent assisting in the planning, buying and management of paid media with an emphasis on digital media.This intern must be able to go in the office to support business needs. What Will I Be Doing?
  • Work with Marcus Thomas’ team of media planners and buyers to plan and execute traditional and digital media campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other practices (Creative, Analytics, Research, Account Service, etc.) to solve Impossible Challenges on behalf of our clients.
  • Assist with pulling and analyzing third-party research and data for a variety of projects.
  • Report on and analyze the details of digital media campaigns and paid search campaigns.
  • Participate in brainstorming meetings.
What Are the Qualifications?
  • Senior standing or recent graduate from programs related to advertising, marketing, communications, journalism, or business, with potential for full-time transition
  • Demonstrates exceptional critical thinking skills, creativity, and outside-the-box problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with media planning; completion of related coursework preferred
  • Enthusiastic learner with a proactive approach, eager to expand skill set and inquire
  • Confident communicator who actively contributes ideas and perspectives
  • Meticulous attention to detail, proficient in multitasking, and skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Openness to diverse assignments and challenges, fostering adaptability
  • Passionate about staying informed on media consumption trends
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Resourceful problem-solver who seeks solutions independently

How Long Is the Program?This internship is a 12-week program where you’ll be working part-time, with the ability to work up to 40 hours based on client needs. We anticipate a start date of June 3, 2024.Is This Internship a Paid Program?Yes! Students who participate in our internship program are paid $18.00 an hour. Is the Program Remote?While this opportunity isn’t entirely remote, it offers a hybrid setup.
