Marcus Gaming LLC is Hiring a Supervisor Food and Beverage Near Henderson, NV

 

It is the primary responsibility of the Food and Beverage Supervisor to direct and assist service staff, conduct necessary training, oversee service standards, and ensure the delivery of exceptional service to the guests. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Railroad Pass policies, practices, and procedures. Great benefits available after 90-day introductory period.

  • Supervises assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, the division and property. 
  • Supervises all aspects of service, inventory control and labor management to operate the restaurant efficiently and cost effectively. 
  • Supervises the daily floor and kitchen operations to ensure that service is done proficiently. 
  • Communicates daily with Chef and/or Sous Chef, providing current information on large parties of expected VIPs. 
  • Opens and closes shift. 
  • Ensures maintenance and cleanliness of restaurant and communicates expectations to Housekeeping and Maintenance departments. 
  • Manages the delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned departments consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes. 
  • Interacts with guests frequently to ensure satisfaction and enjoyment of dining experience. 
  • Responds to any guest complaints and takes appropriate action. 
  • Handles troubleshooting. 
  • Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure property’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment. 
  • Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; adherence to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with Company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements. 
  • Creates enthusiasm and gains commitment in others through clearly communicating Company, property, and department goals and initiatives. 
  • Performs all other duties as requested. 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Required: 

  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills and ability to follow directions. 
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines. 
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines, physical ability to access all areas of the F&B Department. 
  • Withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying items. 
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Able to lead and mentor a team. 
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts. 
  • Professional appearance and demeanor. 
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and oral form.

Preferred:

  • At least 2 years of college education in a related field and/or equivalent work experience in Food and Beverage. 
  • Previous experience in scheduling and staffing with a general understanding of Food and Beverage divisions. 
  • Previous experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement. 
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
