Marcum Search LLC is Hiring a Construction Estimator Near Clermont, FL

Marcum Search is assisting out client in their search for a Regional Roofing Estimating Manager. This position is flexible in terms of location, with the option to be based in KY, TN, NC, SC, FL, GA, AL, or TX.

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Roofing Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will serve as a crucial regional liaison, overseeing estimating processes and operations within a specified territory in the Southeast US. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the construction industry, specifically in roofing, and will be proficient in using Edge software for estimating purposes.

Must have Roofing Estimating experience as well as proficiency in Estimating Edge Software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to regional branches within the territory for 2 to 3 days per week to maintain strong communication and provide support where needed.
  • Conduct high-level analysis of branch workflow and operations to identify areas of improvement and implement solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive estimating packages that accurately reflect the scope, costs, and timelines of roofing projects.
  • Provide operational leadership to ensure that the estimating processes are efficient and effective.
  • Work collaboratively with the pre-construction team to integrate estimating into the overall project planning and design phases.
  • Assist the sales and project management teams in closing deals by providing accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Ensure the estimating team is fully trained and proficient in using Edge software and other relevant tools.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource to the estimating team, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and products for projects.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulations that may impact estimating and project costs.
  • Uphold standards of quality, safety, and excellence in all estimating activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on roofing projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a history of leading successful teams.
  • Proficient in Edge software and other construction estimating tools.
  • Strong understanding of pre-construction services and the ability to integrate estimating with project planning.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven track record in assisting teams to close deals and win projects.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the regional territory.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar certification is a plus.

Working Conditions

The role requires frequent travel to regional branches and project sites as needed. The Regional Estimating Manager will be expected to work both in an office environment and in the field, where exposure to construction sites and outdoor conditions may be required.
