We are currently seeking an Inventory Specialist at our Hillside 

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for inventory monitoring and documentation, counting, tracking, investigation, and discrepancy resolution for merchandise at branch locations. This role performs inventory counts and tracks company merchandise at company branch locations. This role assists in inventory monitoring and investigations, analysis of discrepancies and irregularities. Additionally, this role performs various tasks related to accurate receipt, staging, storage, transfer, and delivery of materials. The Inventory Specialist utilizes various computer applications to record material receipts, location and movements by part number and quantity for inventory and location records. This role utilizes various types of material handling equipment and radio frequency (RF) scanning to perform job functions. 

The Inventory Specialist will work at our Hillside branch located at 300 N Mannheim Rd, Hillside, IL, USA.

What you will you be doing?
  • Performs physical inventory counts.
  • Performs general product organization as related to inventory.
  • Maintains accurate locations and generates appropriate labels.
  • Conducts preliminary investigation and analysis of discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Communicates with branch inventory personnel to resolve discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Notifies supervisor and corporate leaders of discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Prepares for physical inventories by generating various reports and sheets.
  • Communicates with branch locations and distribute appropriate documents.
  • Conducts accurate data entry related to inventory control and location entry.
  • Files documents and archives as required.
  • Completes expense reports accurately.

What we need from you:

Preferred Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or its GED equivalent and some college coursework in business, supply chain, or related field
  • 5 or more years’ experience with warehousing, supply chain, and related functions.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or its GED equivalent
  • 3 or more years’ experience with inventory, supply chain, and related functions.
  • Aptitude for mathematical operations and numerical analysis.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Use computers, photocopiers, scanners, phone systems and meeting and virtual platform sharing relative to the needs of the job.
  • Minimum keyboarding skills of 40 words per minute.
  • Travels to branch locations as needed.
