- Supervise and coordinate the activities of shipping personnel to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
- Plan and prioritize daily shipping activities to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
- Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Train and develop shipping staff on proper procedures and safety protocols.
- Monitor shipping supplies and equipment, and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.
- Prepare shipping-related reports and documentation as required.
- Stay current with industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for process improvements.
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with shipping software and Microsoft Office suite.
