MARCO'S FRANCHISING, LLC is Hiring a Purchasing Manager Near Toledo, OH

The Purchasing Manager will have primary responsibilities for assuring supplier compliance to Marco’s agreements, managing customer relations through all feedback channels, building tools and processes to track, analyze and prioritize improvement opportunities in the areas of contracts, fees, volume cost thresholds, and pricing. They will also be responsible for financial modeling, Key Results and KPI development/tracking/reporting. Interaction interdepartmentally with Marco’s ARs/Franchisees and store teams along with suppliers and distributors will be frequent and require a deft ability to align efforts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage supplier relations and negotiate contracts, prices, and timelines.
  • Maintain supplier database and related documentation.
  • Work to improve purchasing systems and processes.
  • Evaluate price, quality, and reliability of current/new vendors.
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies
  • Assess, manage & mitigate risk to supply chain
  • Monitor and forecast demand
  • Perform cost scenarios and analysis
  • Identify and execute continuous improvements in cost, service and product reliability
  • Data collection, management, and reporting
  • Track and publish performance to all departmental objectives
  • Help develop and maintain Supplier evaluation criteria
  • Interact with suppliers and distributors to assure compliance to KPIs
  • Develop and maintain regular and meaningful communication channels with all Marco’s entities and associates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, finance, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5 years related experience with comprehensive knowledge of the purchasing concepts and principles.
  • Demonstrated results in improving processes and developing financial analysis that provides business insight
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy, precision, and organization skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft excel, access, database knowledge
  • 5 years of successful distribution knowledge
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be available for travel, usually over 10% of the time.

  • Excellent administrative, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy, precision, and organization skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, database knowledge a plus
