The Marbridge Foundation currently has opportunities for full-time or part-time dietary aide's at our 92-bed skilled nursing facility, located in Manchaca, TX (just south of Austin), where we provide nursing support to an extremely unique population of individuals primarily with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This population makes working at the Villa a much different experience than working at any other nursing facility in the greater Austin area – in the U.S. there are only a handful of nursing facilities that cater primarily to a special needs population.

Shift Details

• Shift days vary throughout the week. Shifts are 6:00am-2:00pm and 11:00am-7:00pm.

* PRN is Part-Time availability, as needed basis*

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares food items such as beverages, salads, and condiments for residents and employees.
• Assists cooks as requested in the preparation and service of hot and/or cold foods.
• Washes dishes and maintains a clean and sanitary dining environment.
• Prepares dining room for meal service including: bussing tables, table setting, and dish washing.
• Maintains standards of safety and sanitation as established by the Department of Food & Nutrition and/or local, state and federal health agencies

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Texas Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire
• One year experience or equivalent in institutional food service, preferably in a health care setting.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and handicapped people.
