1. Responsibilities:
1.) Ensure the provision of quality of care to the residents 24 hours a day, providing residents with basic care and treatments.
2.) Observe residents, chart and report changes in residents conditions.
3.) Assist with admits to the facility and discharges from the facility.
4.) Attend nursing meetings.
5.) Make written and oral documentation to the Village Director of Nursing, while maintaining accurate, detailed reports and records.
6.) Complete accident/ incident reports.
7.) Monitor staff absenteeism.
8.) Report any emergency to the Village Director of Nursing.
9.) Monitor quality of care.
10.) Monitor medication passes and treatments.
11.) Maintain good communication between staff, residents and families.
12.) Must have good verbal communication with in house and outside physicians.
13.) Authorize use of restraints.
14.) Inform family and funeral home of deaths.
15.) Review nurses’ notes.
16.) Ensure that all nursing areas are clean.
17.) Answer residents call lights and determine how to assist them.
18.) Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic test to identify and assess residents condition.Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate nursing staff in providing patient care and ensuring the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Oversee discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving the hospital.
- Monitor infection control practices and ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in handling complex medical cases, including cardiac catheterization, medical imaging, ophthalmology, and sterile processing.
- Assist in coding and documentation processes to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
