Maple Street Biscuit Company is Hiring an Operations Leader Near Tallahassee, FL

Operations Leader (OL)
Maple Street Biscuit Company (MSBC) is a fast-casual breakfast and lunch restaurant. We have a mission to help people, serve others, and be a part of the community. At Maple Street, we operate on our four (4) core principles: Comfort Food with a Modern Twist Made Consistently, Gracious Service, Immaculately Clean, and Sustainable Business.
MSBC Operations Leaders (OLs) will work under the supervision of our Community Leader (CL) and Mission Coaches and are responsible for assisting with leading operational store excellence and leadership of store operations logistics. 
  • At the direction of the CL, oversee the day-to-day activities of restaurant operations. 
  • Assists the CL with store operations, including, but not limited to, the following:
    •  Developing and implementing plans to ensure the long-term success of the restaurant. 
    • Modeling leadership behaviors and providing/promoting a positive guest experience. 
    • Holding team members accountable to following the steps of service to deliver an excellent guest experience. 
    • Ensuring food and service quality standards are maintained at all times. 
    • Supporting and communicating MSBC initiatives 
    • Responding to and assisting with guest service issues 
    • Opening and closing store and leading store in CL absence 
  • Communicate with CL regarding inventory orders, and labor/schedule management. 
  • Assists with compliance of health and safety standards (including leading through an inspection) 
  • Oversee and lead kitchen practices and execution and training new team members on same 
  • Demonstrate personal mastery and model Quality and Service Standards with elevated focus regarding food safety, cleanliness, organization, food quality, asset protection, and speed of service and guest experience. 
  • Responsible for the leadership and development of team members to execute all food and sanitation practices in accordance with company policy. 
  • Maintain optimal execution of daily operations, including ensuring proper implementation of all operational policies and procedures, including the preparation of food and beverage necessary to meet daily demands while minimizing waste and submission of food and paper orders. 
  • Responsible for modeling leadership behavior and providing and promoting a positive guest experience. 
  • Builds strong relationships within our community to include CLs, guests, team members and vendors. 

Required Experience/Environment and Working Conditions
  •  A minimum of 1 year experience leading and developing a team; restaurant experience preferred. 
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  •  Experience managing a tight margin operation. 
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a team. 
  •  Budgeting, forecasting, and sales experience preferred. 
  •  Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment. 
  •  Role requires a background check and manager level food safety certification and alcohol certifications. 
  •  Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Excellent supervisor skills 
  • English reading, writing, math, and computer skills required. 
  • Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend, and perform extensive standing and walking (including stairs) throughout the shift. 
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds at times. 
  • Ability to be on feet for up to eight (8) hours a day. 
  • Ability to work around loud noises and in a fast-paced environment.
