The Maple Run Unified School District is seeking a middle school classroom teacher for grades 7 & 8 Social Studies at Saint Albans City School (SACS) for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. A middle school classroom teacher will have the ability to create grade appropriate programs and a positive class environment that motivates pupils to develop skills, knowledge, and attitudes, according to each pupil's ability, in order to develop a solid foundation for continued learning. Embraces and implements programs and activities in support of middle level philosophy and best practices. Establishes effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members to enhance learning opportunities. SACS values Restorative Practices, Conscious Discipline, and partnerships with other schools in the Maple Run district to align curriculum and best practices in teaching and learning.Saint Albans City School is a PreK-8 school serving approximately 660 students in Franklin County, Vermont. SACS is a highly respected school known for its outdoor classroom programming that includes an orchard, wetlands, local gardens, and on-site maple sugar production.
