Maple Leaf Foods is hiring for General Labourers on our 4:00 PM Production shift! General Labourer/Production Worker (requirement to complete heavy lifting):The Production Worker is responsible for the timely and efficient production of whole raw chicken products that are in line with Maple Leaf safety and quality standards as well as the customer’s specifications. The position involves heavy lifting and highly repetitive work, with a need for speed and accuracy. A high level of hand, upper-arm and back strength, and stamina is required to work in this area.What you’ll bring
Physically capable of heavy lifting up to (25 kg/55 lb) repetitively
Capable of frequent bending
Ability to work within colder temperatures (6 degrees Celsius)
Speak, read and write English
Work well within a team environment
Maintain attendance
Must have own or reliable transportation (there is no public transportation to work site)

Responsibilities:
Feed cartons into machines
Check and weigh materials and/or product
Manually pack product into bags, cartons or other containers
Remove finished goods cartons from conveyer and place on pallets
Check products and packaging for basic quality defects
Working with food production equipment
Using knives to perform cutting and trimming
