Job Description:

Our company is seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator to join our team. As an Ocean Import Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the movement of ocean freight shipments from origin to destination. You will work closely with customers, carriers, and overseas agents to ensure that shipments are transported in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate the movement of ocean freight shipments from origin to destination

Communicate with customers, carriers, and overseas agents to ensure the smooth transportation of shipments

Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner

Prepare shipping documents and ensure compliance with all customs regulations and requirements

Track and monitor the status of shipments to ensure timely delivery

Resolve any issues or problems that arise during the transportation process

Ensure that all charges related to the shipment are accurately billed and paid

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments and related documentation

Provide excellent customer service to all clients

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

At least 2 years of experience in ocean import coordination

Strong knowledge of customs regulations and requirements

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer programs

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, if needed
