SPEECH/LANGUAGE SPECIALIST (part-time, summer)
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Speech Language Specialist shall:
* Hold a valid New Jersey educational services certificate in accordance with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:27.1 et seq., and N.J.A.C. Title 6A Chapter 9 with a Speech Language Specialist or a Speech Language Specialist endorsement (N.J.A.C. 6A:9-13.6) and other appropriate endorsement(s).
* Demonstrate the ability to evaluate, provide therapy, and provide strategies for the prevention and remediation of speech, language, and hearing disorders.
* Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
* Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of speech-language pathology, child growth and development, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to learning.
* Demonstrate an understanding of current rules and regulations regarding Child Study Teams and special education assessment and program requirements.
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 1, 2024 - August 1, 2024
Two (2) days per week
8:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
RATE OF PAY: $43.00 per hour
