The ideal candidate will have experience in recruitment or human resources, along with knowledge of screening, sourcing, selling, interviewing, and hiring processes. We’re seeking someone who’s passionate about hunting talent, driving company growth, and helping people develop successful careers.

As the Corporate Recruiter, you will be at the forefront of our talent acquisition efforts, responsible for crafting job descriptions, compelling postings and networking engagements to attract top talent. The focus of this position is working with and through others, building and maintaining relationships, and working closely and accurately within established guidelines. There is a need for an effective communicator, someone who is able to stimulate and motivate others while being aware of and responsive to their needs and concerns. There will be many different people to meet and work with. The person in this position must be friendly and genuinely interested in the business, agenda, and needs of others, including the company, its management, the team, the company's customers, and competitors. A faster-than-average pace will be the norm for this position. Detail work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently. This portion of the work will often focus on correct handling of details. In general, this is a position where guidelines, structure, and established policies must be followed fairly closely, while working with and for others.

The role is located in Petoskey Michigan, however providing multi site support for a few of our business units, with some regional travel requirements. It is a full-time, year-round role with an experienced and growth oriented team, great benefits, access to an on-staff licensed professional counselor, and a typical work schedule of Monday-Friday.

Goal and Responsibilities Include: And may change or evolve over time - 

  • Guide hiring managers through the recruitment and selection process, providing training and support as needed.
  • Promote and maintain each business brand to attract top talent.
  • Assist in developing annual and seasonal recruitment strategies for each business unit.
  • Manage job requisitions, applicant flow, resume screening, and interview coordination.
  • Create and maintain interview questions, hiring best practices, and compliance with policies and laws.
  • Source candidates through internal marketing, job board souring, social networks, networking, online research, and other media.
  • Build relationships with community job placement services, colleges, and local schools.
  • Coordinate and attend job fairs and hiring events.
  • Screen candidates for availability, interest, qualifications, and compliance
  • Ensure recruiting and onboarding compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Initiate and track pre-employment screening processes.
  • Maintain documentation related to recruiting efforts.
  • Develop and maintain job description and posting libraries.
  • Assist with orientation and new hire paperwork.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics, scorecard and track costs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, social and mobile applications 
  • Able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and professional discretion.
  • Able to write and speak effectively with customers, vendors, and team members of the organization.
  • Experience in using The Predictive Index or other pre employment assessments is a bonus
