We are currently seeking a talented Mid-Level Software Engineer with a TS/SCI w Poly clearance located in Linthicum, MD. The responsibilities of the Software Engineer include developing, maintaining, and enhancing complex and diverse software systems. These systems encompass a wide range of applications such as processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems. Your work will be based on documented requirements, and you'll have the flexibility to work individually or as part of a team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements

• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features

• Debug existing software and correct defects

• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments

• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories

• Make recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards

• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components

• Write or review software and system documentation

• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas

• Serve as a team lead, based on the specific software development process used in any particular project

• Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance

• Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure the outcome and consequences of design

• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Computer Engineering and 7 years of Software Engineering experience

  • in lieu of a degree a total of 11 years of relevant experience

Security Clearance Requirements:

• Currently have an active TS/SCI with Poly

Physical Requirements:

• The ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time

• Occasional movement within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc

• Regular operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer
