Job Description:

At Mansfield Service Partners, we're seeking a dedicated and experienced Procurement Manager to take charge of our procurement operations across 4 states. This role is critical to our success in delivering high-quality products to our end-customers. This position will work closely with Operations and Senior Management to ensure that procurement strategies are applied consistently in order to find ways to effectively optimize organizational expenses. The manager will also be negotiating supplier agreements, manage supplier and vendor contracts, monitor purchases, design supply backup systems and enhance Source operations spend. 

Responsibilities

• Develop, hone and execute innovative procurement strategies for MSP’s Lubricants’ and Select Environmental Business Units.
• Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency.
• Institute policies and procedures for collecting and reporting key metrics that will reduce organizational overall expenses while increasing productivity.
• Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation as it relates to procurement.
• Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.
• Design supply back up system, analyze effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop, prepare and finalize contracts, negotiate acquisition cost and terms & conditions, Spec validation.
• Set vendor performance KPI’s, perform vendor evaluation (including financial, technical and commercial risk analysis) and site audit, and improve vendor performance as needed to satisfy growing operation effectiveness and business demand.
• Push Implementation of vendor correction/improvement plan, collect feedback from operations and sales team, evaluate the implementation plan effectiveness.
• Coordinate customer (both external and internal) complaints and troubleshooting with corresponding vendor.
• Coordinate internal cross functional team in new product application and launch.
• Cost quotation for new product, new formula, new purchase model, and new supply source. 
• Execute material requisitions to align with demand, reorder point, safety stock, and manually derived requirements.
• Lead and support efforts to reduce supplier cost, lead times, and improve inventory turns.
• Visit existing and prospective sources to secure supply, assess capabilities, and develop relationships.
• Monitor supplier and freight forwarder performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive escalations.
• Identify and develop new sources of supply when existing sources are inadequate.
• Research and analyze commodity trends impacting material cost and availability.
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements 

Formal Education & Certification

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, procurement or related field.

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ proven experience in supply chain or as a procurement/purchasing lead in an industrial setting.
• Minimum 3 years’ successfully managing a procurement team
• A strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations

• Experience in project management handling procurement projects and initiatives effectively

• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio).
• Ability to take raw data and refine into quality information to support business decisions.

Work Environment

• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
