TOPS Staffing has partnered with a well established manufacturing company who is currently looking to hire an experienced Controls Assembler/ System Tester.
In this position you will be tasked with doing assembly, and installation of our products control modules. This work is done inhouse before a product leaves our manufacturing facility. To be successful in this role you will need a trifecta of skills which include light electrical, electronic and mechanical assembly skills. Ability to use computer and controller interfaces to program control modules. The ideal candidate will have prior soldering experience on wire connections.

Job Details:
Contract to hire
Located in RIDC West Industrial park
Hours: 6:30am to 3pm – Monday to Friday schedule - 8hr schedule with flextime offered.
Payrate: up to $22 per hour based on experience.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Mechanical assembly – Use of hand tools, drills, grinders, cutting tools

• Electrical assembly – Wiring from schematics

• Any piping or plumbing experience would be a plus but not required

• Soldering of wiring connections to install switches, lcd screens and sensors

• Installation of control module.

• Programming of control module

• Assembly and testing of system sensors; some of which we manufacture in house

• Programming and final test of control modules prior to shipping to customer

• Assist with evaluation of any returned systems or control modules.

• Assist with production assembly when needed.

• Ability to work overtime on an as needed basis

• Position requires basic computer competency

• All work requires utilizing a combination of hand and power tools

Education and Experience:

• Looking for a minimum of one year of related manufacturing or production experience or a related technical degree.

• Experience in one or more of the following areas, mechanical assembly, electrical wiring or electronic assembly.

• Must have some computer experience and knowledge

• Minimum of a GED or Highschool diploma education

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs on occasion

• Ability to be on your feet for entire shift

• Position requires physical movement, standing, bending, kneeling, stretching, and lifting.
