YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, organize, and execute test activities in the laboratories according to specified protocols, drawings, diagrams, and engineering documents provided by test engineers.
- Prepare the working area for tests, set up testing equipment, and ensure adherence to defined procedures.
- Set up test fixtures as required, including fabrication if necessary, and establish tracking methodology for sample identification.
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on assigned laboratory equipment within technical capability.
- Maintain test records, prepare relevant documentation and reports on activities, and ensure information is up-to-date.
- Communicate test status and results to responsible test engineers and other engineering group members effectively.
- Maintain testing equipment, organize, and store test fixtures to ensure cleanliness and security of the working area.
- Utilize hand tools, wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc., and be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs regularly and moving objects up to 100 lbs.
- HS Diploma or GED preferred. College or vocational school coursework is welcome.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of test methods, techniques, set-up, tools, equipment, materials, and products, with the ability to analyze and evaluate test results.
- Ability to work in teams with good communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Completion of New Employee Orientation and Quality Systems Overview training, as well as any additional department-specific training identified.
- Proficiency in working with basic tools.
- Experience in repairing or maintaining cars, trucks, motorcycles is highly desired.
