Role Summary

Manage and drive the Americas pricing strategies for all Independent Aftermarket (IAM) brands at MANN HUMMEL. This role involves maintaining competitive pricing files, providing analysis, and supporting various pricing initiatives. The position requires interaction with customers, internal departments, and a global team, ensuring competitive pricing and contributing to margin improvements.

Main Tasks

Description:

  • Manage and drive the Americas pricing strategies for all Independent Aftermarket (IAM) brands at MANN HUMMEL.
  • Maintain competitive pricing files and provide management with competitive price analysis as needed.
  • Aggregate & manage competitive data from Nuway, National Parts Depot (NPD), price surveys, sales forces, retail price shops, and provide analysis.
  • Have a mastery knowledge of margins and make recommendations regarding improvements and impacts to margin.
  • Update and maintain competitive manufacturer’s programs and provide the data and analysis to management.
  • Provide quotations for competitive bids on major new business lines with support from Sales and Finance.
  • Maintain and support electronic commerce (e-commerce) initiatives with respect to pricing and any adjustments needed.
  • Execute and implement price changes for the major Independent Aftermarket (IAM) lines.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints about pricing issues.
  • Meet and negotiate with customers during pricing reviews.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customers' product & pricing personnel at their headquarters.
  • Maintain Product Information Exchange Standard (P.I.E.S) data for major customers and distribute on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain close working relationships with internal departments such as Product Development, Sales, Marketing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Category Management.
  • Lead a team of two pricing analysts for North America. Coordinate with Pricing analysts from Mexico/Central America/South America.
  • Establish classification on all existing product line content and new product introduction prices.
  • Load all pricing into Systems Applications and Products (SAP) and Global Key Account Technology (Gkat) pricing module.
  • Generate granular sales analysis including but not limited to reports by brand, customer, segment, product type, location, family, and part number.
  • Work on Price Excellence programs with local and global team members as needed.

Your Profile

Requirements:

  • Degree from an accredited university and 5 years of professional experience required.
  • Extremely strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), pivot tables, Power Query, and advanced formulas. Knowledge and use of other pricing software desirable.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Ability to interact with customers and travel as needed up to 10%.
  • Understanding of Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard (ACES), Product Information Exchange Standard (PIES), and other standards desired.
  • Experience in Systems Applications and Products (SAP).
  • Experience creating reports in SAP Analytics Cloud or other Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
