Use Best Practices to develop new and document existing manufacturing processes. Analyze current documents for effectiveness, maintain and manage revision-controlled procedures in various formats. Use knowledge and experience to develop and revise processes to improve flow and increase repeatability.

1. Develop work instructions using various software packages including Office, Cortona, TeamCenter and others to standardize work in production.
2. Organize work instructions effectively for easy retrieval. Maintain processes for update to ensure they are controlled and updated in a timely manner.
3. Understand and incorporate concepts such as Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work Instructions, Job Aids, manufacturing practices, process capabilities and problem solving skills in creation of work instructions.
4. Support teams and departments to effectively complete projects such as new product development or kaizen events.
5. Assist in resolving problems between various departments through the use of standardized work.
6. Maintain education and skill level required to perform assigned functions.
7. Complete special assignments that are assigned by the supervisor.
8. Take and provide direction as required as a team member on projects.
9. Work on multiple tasks and prioritize to meet deadlines effectively.
10. Exhibit strong judgment and ethical decision-making skills.
11. Interface with all levels of the organization, including other facilities.

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is preferred. High school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of three years of technical writing experience using specialized Software (Cortona 3D), or experience in a specialized manufacturing environment, is required.
• Manufacturing experience is preferred with knowledge of industry best practices (SWI, Job Aids, Training-Within-Industry, etc)
• Must have a working knowledge of document management and learning management software.
• Solids modeling software experience is preferred.
