The Wiring Technician I is responsible for completing electrical wiring projects on assigned crane assemblies. Wiring Tech I is capable of fulfilling all requirements of Wiring Tech I. May perform Assembler duties in any work center as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of vehicle wiring
• Able to identify electrical circuits
• Able to communicate well with others
• Able to work on and see small objects
• Good hearing and color vision
• Able to work in a restricted work area
• Terminal crimping for a variety of contact types
• Hands-on ability – you will work mainly in the shop and sometimes at the computer.
• Working with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineers on collaborative projects
• Installing various wires, connections, relays, fuses, etc.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

• Install vehicle components (batteries, inverters, motors, contactors, etc.)

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 2-year experience is preferred, but not required.
• Knowledge of vehicle wiring.
• Experience with installation of vehicle body harness and lighting preferred, but not required.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
