Job Description: Individual will serve as the Q.E.D. Purchasing Manager for a U.S. Navy Yard contract. Contract requirements will include Ship Change Documentation Support (SCD), Ship Checks, Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), Configuration Management, Logistics Support, Ship Availability Planning, and In-service Engineering Agent (ISEA) support.The Q.E.D. Purchasing Manager will report directly to the Q.E.D. Deputy Program Manager (DPM), and will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, tracking, and expediting Long Lead Time Material (LLTM).
Job Requirements/skill sets: A minimum of 10-years of experience supporting ship overhaul purchasing requirements, including LLTM, GFM, CFM. Must have experience in material procurement, One Touch System (OTS), Navy Supply Systems Mil Specs development, and Barcoding/Item Unique Identification (IUID).
Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree
Security Clearance/Naval Facility Access: U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to meet and maintain eligibility for U.S. Secret Clearance and/or be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
